Understand Human hair grades-what are they and what are their meanings?
From complete beginners or experienced wig wearers, grading human hair extension (such as bundles and wigs) may make you more confused than enlightened.
What Are The Grades? Is there a price difference between levels? How do I know what grade to look?
If you feel this confusion, this blog can help you solve these problems.
What Are The Grades?
The hair grading system was created in the early 2010s by hair extension suppliers as a way to determine the quality of hair sold to buyers and to set their companies apart from those that might have been selling lower-quality hair.
3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A 10A
Those are the human hair grades currently being used within the industry 3A being the lowest quality hair and 10A the highest.
And The score is not always the same. There is no formal regulation for the hair grading system.
Is there a price difference between levels?
Yes. Like most things in life, higher quality usually turns into higher price, and the grading system is no exception. However, it is important to note that since the system is not regulated, paying more for hair does not always mean that you will get the highest quality hair.
How do I know what grade to look?
The hair level you should consider depends entirely on your needs for hair. The higher the quality of hair you want, the higher the grade you should pay attention to at the beginning. If you are looking for a real budget option but still want some quality, you should start with 6A. If you are looking for 100% virgin hair, do not look for hair below grade 8A or 9A.
Can I look for any other qualities?
Absolutely, we recommend that you consider them together with the hair grade instead of just relying on one of them. Other qualities to pay attention to when buying hair are:
Remy Or Non-Remy
Remy hair means that all cuticles in the hair remain intact and face the same direction. This means that hair is unlikely to fall shed/tangle.
Wefting Style
Double wefted hair is not easy to fall off, so it can last longer.
HairstyleLook for 100% human hair. If it comes from one donor (all hair comes from one person), it is more likely to be of higher quality.
Weight
The weight of a bundle of hair indicates how much hair is in a bundle of hair. Generally, a bundle should be between 95-100 grams.
Chemical treatment
This is especially important if you are looking for 100% virgin hair. If you see that your hair is advertised as 100% virgin, but you also see that it has been treated chemically, then you are cheated.
